Overview

Cabinet Painting & Refinishing across North Indianapolis / Hamilton County

Cabinet refinishing is a different trade than wall painting — it lives and dies on the prep and the spray finish. We remove doors and drawer fronts, degrease and deglosss every surface, fill grain and imperfections, and spray a factory-style catalyzed finish in a controlled setting rather than brushing in place. The result reads like new cabinetry, not a coat of paint over old boxes.

Kitchen cabinets take more daily abuse than any other painted surface in the house — grease, water, hands, and heat. We use bonding primers and durable enamel systems built to handle that, and we spray rather than brush wherever possible for the smooth, factory-level finish that brushed cabinets almost never achieve. Hinges and hardware get labeled and reinstalled correctly, or upgraded if you want a hardware refresh at the same time.

Assessment & color plan

Removal & labeling

Doors, drawer fronts, and hardware are removed, numbered, and labeled so everything goes back exactly where it came from.

Deglossing & priming

Every surface is degreased, deglossed or sanded, and coated with a bonding primer built for kitchen durability.

Spray finish & reinstall

Doors and fronts are sprayed with a catalyzed enamel in a controlled space, boxes are finished in place, and everything is reinstalled and adjusted.

FAQ

Cabinet Refinishing questions, answered

Is cabinet refinishing actually cheaper than replacement?

Typically yes — refinishing a full kitchen usually runs a third to half the cost of new cabinet boxes, while giving you the same visual reset.

Will you be able to match my existing cabinet color exactly?

For touch-ups or partial repaints, yes. For full refinishes we usually recommend a full color change since exact factory-match on aged finishes is difficult to guarantee.

Can I still use my kitchen while cabinets are being refinished?

Partially — we work in phases where possible so you retain access to some cabinetry and countertop space throughout the project.

Do you paint kitchen islands a different color than the perimeter?

Yes, two-tone kitchens are one of our most requested looks — typically a deeper accent color on the island against a lighter perimeter.
